Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins Not Named An All-Star Starter
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The NBA announced its All-Star Game starting rosters on Thursday, and DeMarcus Cousins was not on the list.
The Sacramento Kings faced the top vote-getter on Wednesday night as Kobe Bryant was named to the All-Star Game in his 20th and final season. Bryant has struggled in his farewell season, with the worst shooting performance for an All-Star starter more than 60 years.
Joining Bryant for the Western Conference will be:
- Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
- Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder)
- Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder)
- Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs)
For the Eastern Conference, it will be:
- LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers)
- Paul George (Indiana Pacers)
- Carmelo Anthony (New York Knicks)
- Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat)
- Kyle Lowry (Toronto Raptors)
Cousins finished 10th in the front court voting, while teammate Rudy Gay finished seventh.
Cousins' All-Star hopes are far from over. The NBA will announce its reserve rosters on Jan. 28.
