Sacramento Goodwill Store Employee Killed In Industrial Accident

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating after an employee at a Sacramento Goodwill store died in an industrial accident.

The incident happened a little before 2 p.m. on Friday. Sacramento Fire says they were dispatched to the 6600 block of Franklin Boulevard store for a medical emergency. One man was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center but later died.

Goodwill confirms the employee was involved in an industrial accident, but would not go into specifics.

The store will be closed until further notice.

Both Cal/OSHA and the Sacramento Police Department are actively investigating the incident.
