Sacramento gas station owner shoots person, sheriff says

Man shot at Sacramento-area gas station, taken to hospital

SACRAMENTO COUNTY – An investigation is underway after a shooting at a gas station in south Sacramento Friday evening.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a gas station near Florin and Power Inn roads a little after 7 p.m. to investigate after an employee reported that he had shot someone. 

At the scene, deputies found a victim who had been shot twice.

The sheriff's office says the victim, only identified as a man at this point, has been taken to the hospital. The man's injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

It appears that the gas station owner shot the person, the sheriff's office says. Deputies say the owner is cooperating with the investigation.
