Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department has arrested one of their own over the weekend on violence charges.

Chris Lee Bliss, 27, was arrested Saturday night on misdemeanor domestic violence charges after a concerned neighbor called 911, according to a statement from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept.

Bliss was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on domestic violence charges. He will be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Sheriff's Department's Professional Standards Division.

A six-year veteran of the department, Bliss was working at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Facility.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26.
