SACRAMENTO – Authorities were asking for help in finding a missing Sacramento boy who was last seen leaving for school on Wednesday.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said 11-year-old Andre Jackson left his Casals Street, near Folsom Boulevard, home on Wednesday morning to go to school and hasn't been seen since.

It wasn't until late Wednesday night that he was reported missing to the sheriff's office.

Jackson was considered at-risk due to his age.

Deputies said Jackson was wearing a long-sleeve gray sweater with red on the inside of the hood along with white Nikes with red bottoms.

Later Thursday, the sheriff's office announced that Jackson had been found safe.
