Suspect Detained After Pursuit, Crash In North Highlands

NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) — A suspect is in custody after a pursuit and crash in North Highlands.

The California Highway Patrol says a motorcycle officer pursued a vehicle for reckless driving and not wearing a seatbelt around 2:18 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say the vehicle crashed at 32nd Street and Elkhorn Boulevard. The CHP officer dropped their motorcycle to run after the suspect and detain them.

Minor injuries were reported, but officials say the officer is okay.
