Retired Couple Pays For All Placer County SPCA Adoptions Until End Of Year

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Community generosity is spreading to even more animal shelters this holiday season.

The Placer County SPCA in Roseville is the latest shelter to have a sponsor step forward and pay for all adoption fees in December.

A retired couple offered to cover all costs through the end of the year.

Adoption fees typically cost between $50 and $300, so the donation could end up costing the couple close to $15,000.

Sacramento's Front Street Animal Shelter is continuing their push to adopt after a donor paid all adoptions for rest of the year.

The shelter says in the month of November alone they were able to adopt 584 pets.

Despite those great numbers, Front Street says they still have hundreds more than need homes.
