Reports: Sacramento Kings Rookie Ben McLemore In All-Star Slam Dunk Contest

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento Kings will be represented in this year's NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend.

According to multiple news outlets, including ESPN.com, Yahoo.com and CSNNW.com, Rookie Ben McLemore will be in New Orleans as a participant in the contest on Feb. 15.

Joining him will be the Washington Wizards' John Wall, the Pacers' Paul George, the Raptors' Terrence Ross, the Warriors' Harrison Barnes and the Blazers' Damian Lillard.

McLemore is the fourth Kings player to participate in the dunk contest, and the first since Gerald Wallace lost in the 2002 final to the Golden State Warriors' Jason Richardson.

Kenny Smith finished second in 1990 and Terry Tyler finished last in the 1986 contest.

McLemore wasn't invited to this year's Rising Stars Challenge which pits rookies against sophomores on the Friday of All-Star Weekend.
