Report: Kaepernick Wants Out Of SF

The New York Daily News is reporting that Colin Kaepernick wants out of San Francisco.

The quarterback has had a tough with the 49ers. He struggle on the field lead to being bench nearly halfway through the season and replaced by backup, Blaine Gabbert.

Where would Kaepernick go? It is also being reported that the QB has a desire to play for the New York Jets.

According to sources close to the organization, "the Jets, aware of Kaepernick's desire to play for them, are intrigued, but in the early stages of their offseason planning and evaluation."

The only problem with this possible move is Ryan Fitzpatrick. It is hard to believe that Jets GM Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles would want to replace Fitzpatrick after helping get the team 10 wins this last season.

It has yet to be seen if Kaepernick will have a place in Chip Kelly's offense. Kaepernick still has five years remaining on a $114 million extension. On April 1 that money is guaranteed. The 49ers would have to make a decision soon. They would save $8.5 million by releasing the quarterback.
