1 Hurt In Rancho Cordova Shooting; Search For Suspect Prompts Evacuations
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — Law enforcement officers are investigating a shooting that left at least one man hurt in Rancho Cordova late Thursday morning.
The scene is along the 10500 block of Mills Tower Drive.
Police presence in the 10500 block of Mills Tower Drive in Rancho Cordova for a male shot in the upper body. Victim was transported to an area hospital. Units are on scene searching for suspect. Evacuations are being made. Please avoid the area.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, a shooting victim was found lying in front of an apartment door with a wound to his upper body. He has been taken to the hospital and is being treated for his injuries.
Officers evacuated some apartments to search for the suspect.
A SWAT team was also called to the scene and helped in the search.
Authorities say a person of interest was then detained away from the scene. It's unclear, at this point, if that person is the suspect.
Investigators believe the victim and the suspect know each other, but no other details about their relationship has been released.
