Raiders Sign 2nd-Round Pick Mario Edwards Jr.

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders have signed second-round pick defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. to a rookie contract.

Edwards was selected 35th overall out of Florida State. In three seasons in college

, Edwards had eight sacks, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Edwards also helped the Seminoles win the 2013 BCS National Championship.
