Private Security Guard Arrested On Child Porn Charges
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A security guard has been arrested on possessing child pornography charges, authorities say.
According to the Placer County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old James Lee Johnson was arrested at his home in Citrus Heights Thursday night. Detectives say Johnson had left his thumb drive at his Los Gatos Private Security office in Granite Bay.
Johnson reportedly realized he left his thumb drive behind and called another employee to put the device in his work mailbox. But, the other employee looked at the contents of the device and allegedly found child pornography inside. The other employee then called authorities.
A search warrant was soon obtained for Johnson's home and Johnson was arrested. Detectives say that computers have been taken from Johnson's home and are being examined.
Johnson faces charges of possessing child pornography. He is being held at Placer County Jail on $50,000 bail.
