Powerball Ticket Sold In Stockton Misses Jackpot By One Number

STOCKTON (CBS13/AP) - No one won the jackpot in Saturday's already record-breaking Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers for the record $949.8 million Powerball jackpot are 32-16-19-57-34 and Powerball number 13.

The Multi-State Lottery Association announced the numbers live on television and on its website Saturday.

To win the jackpot, a ticket must have all six numbers correct. The first five can be in any order but the sixth must be the Powerball number.

The California lottery says no one in the state won the jackpot, but six people did match five of the six numbers - meaning they will get a consolation prize. One of the five of six tickets was sold at the Parkwood Gas & Food station at 1612 West Hammer Lane in Stockton.

Officials say the ticket sold in Stockton is worth $779,264, before taxes.*

The odds to win Powerball are one in 292.2 million.

Lottery officials expect the next drawing to be $1.3 billion.

Powerball is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

*California Lottery officials originally said the ticket was worth at least $2 million, but have since revised their numbers.
