Pot Growing House Raided In Tracy

TRACY (CBS13) – About $1 million worth of marijuana has been seized after a raid of a Tracy home Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Tracy Police Department, officers served a search warrant at a home along the 700 block of Weeping Willow Lane around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Officers soon uncovered a marijuana growing operation at the home.

Police also say that the growing operation stole about $35,000 in utilities.

Two men were arrested in connection to the operation: 47-year-old Tracy resident Guo Wu and 44-year-old New York resident Jian Long. Both face charges relating to marijuana cultivation and utility theft and are being held at San Joaquin County Jail on $120,000 bail.

Police note that illegal residential marijuana grows pose many hazards to other homes in the neighborhood. Anyone wishing to report suspected drug operations is asked to call Tracy Police at (209) 831-4847.
