Popular Woodland Bar Set To Reopen After Deadly Stabbing

WOODLAND (CBS13) – A Woodland bar shut down due to a violent confrontation that left one person dead is set to reopen.

The deadly incident at Kenny's Bar happened back in December 2015. Two men got in a fight inside, leading to one person being stabbed. Kelly Choate was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Authorities suspended the bar's alcohol license after the incident.

The bar is now set to reopen on Friday night.

Jeffrey Lemus, 55, has been charged for Choate's death. He has pleaded not guilty for murder and his trial is set to begin on Monday.
