Ponderosa High Water Polo Coach Accused Of Sexual Relationship With Students

EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) — A high-school water polo coach has been arrested after allegedly having a relationship with a student from the school.

A school resource officer tipped off the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department about the relationship, and an investigation found Shane O'Rourke, 22, had two inappropriate relationships with students.

O'Rourke has been a water polo coach at Ponderosa High School for two years, and was a coach at El Dorado High School in 2013.

He was booked into jail on charges of having sex with a minor under the age of 16, as well as possession of child pornography.
