Police: Woman Used Stolen Credit Card To Live It Up At Sacramento Hyatt Gift Shop

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Police were called to the Hyatt in Downtown Sacramento after officers say a woman was on a spending spree with a stolen credit card.

Investigators say Kristin Malinowski, 35, used a stolen credit card and checked into the Hyatt Regency over the weekend. They say employees became suspicious when she ran up a $1,000 bill and spent a lot of money at the hotel gift shop while staying with two friends.

"There were some charges at the gift shop that just didn't quite look right and actually it was the amount," said police spokesman Doug Morse. "It wasn't typical that someone puts that much money on their account."

The two men who were with Malinowski were also arrested at the hotel on drug charges.
