Police: Woman Shot By Boyfriend In Critical Condition
STOCKTON (CBS13) – A woman is in critical condition after she was shot – allegedly by her own boyfriend.
Stockton Police say that officers showed up at a home along the 3200 block of Farmington Road just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday due to a reported shooting. At the scene, they found that a 27-year-old woman had been shot.
The woman, who was shot once, was taken to the hospital for surgery. Police say she is currently listed in critical condition.
Investigators believe the woman's own boyfriend, 24-year-old Jorge Luna, is the suspect. He has since been arrested and is currently being held at San Joaquin County Jail.
Luna is facing attempted murder, among other charges, and is ineligible for bail.
