Police: Suspect Shot By Officer In North Sacramento, Dies

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in North Sacramento Saturday evening.

The incident happened near Bell Avenue and Dry Creek Road. Police say no officers were hurt in the shooting.

Police say the suspect, only said to be a man, was chasing after his brother-in-law with a knife when officers arrived at the home.

Officers confronted the armed suspect in a field nearby and an officer was soon forced to fire.

The suspect was taken to the hospital but later died, police say.
