Police: Student Flashes Replica Gun During Fight At High School In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - A high school student is under arrest after he flashed what looked like a gun during a fight with another student.

The incident happened on Thursday morning at Sem Yeto High School. Fairfield Police say a school staff member broke up a fight between two students. One of the students involved threw a possible weapon onto the roof of the school after the fight.

Authorities put the school on lockdown as authorities went to go get the item off the roof. Firefighters who later got to the scene were able to retrieve it.

Police say the weapon turned out to be a replica Airsoft gun.

Officers arrested the student who flashed the gun. He has been identified as 18-year-old Carlos Rios-Morales.

Rios-Morales has been booked at Solano County Jail and is facing charges of brandishing a replica firearm and creating a campus disruption. Police also say he had marijuana on him at the time.
