Police: Security Guard Shoots Person After Altercation At Sacramento 7-Eleven

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police say a security guard has shot a person at a south Sacramento 7-Eleven Sunday night.

The incident happened a little before 8 p.m. at the 7-Eleven near Mack Road and Center Parkway.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, a security guard got into some sort of altercation with someone just before the shooting. The security guard was apparently trying to arrest a man, but he kept resisting. Police say the guard then shot the man because he feared for his life.

The person shot has since been taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
