Police Searching For Suspects In Home Invasion Robbery

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento police are searching for suspects after a home invasion.

It happened at around 11 p.m. Sunday night on Sonoma Avenue near Rio Linda Boulevard.

Police arrived to find two people injured in the front yard. One of the victims was shot multiple times in the lower body.

"What we found out looks like it's a home invasion at this address. And there was a fight over the weapon and the homeowner was shot," said Sgt. William McCoin, a Sacramento Police Department spokesperson.

The homeowner was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition. The other victim was hit in the head with a weapon, but is expected to make a full recovery.
