Police Searching For Orange County Restaurant Robber

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Orange County authorities are searching for suspects in a string of restaurant burglaries.

Sheriff's Lt. John Roche says nine restaurants were hit late Friday and early Saturday, and the crimes are likely related.

Roche says in each case thieves smashed through a window or door and took cash, and in some cases the cash registers. He says the suspects were likely in and out in less than a minute.

Detectives aren't sure yet how much money was taken.

All the establishments were closed at the time of the break-ins.

The Orange County Register reports Sunday (http://bit.ly/24DNC9p) that four of the restaurants are in Lake Forest, two are in Mission Viejo, two are in Dana Point and one is in San Juan Capistrano.
