Police: Roseville Arsonist Set Wrong House On Fire

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) — Roseville Police have arrested a man they say set the wrong house on fire in an attempted arson.

Christopher James Robinson, 20, of Elk Grove was arrested in Natomas on Wednesday.

Police say Robinson set a fire on Wednesday night at a home on Champagne Circle. The fire was quickly extinguished, and nobody was injured. Investigators ruled it was a case of arson.

Investigators say Robinson had gone to Roseville to contact someone he had a problem with, but he went to the wrong home. In fact, he had no connection to the people inside, but investigators say he started the fire thinking he had the right home.

Robinson could face attempted murder and arson-related charges.
