Police: 'Play Wrestling' Gets Out Of Hand, Man Hit With Weight

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Police say a man is in critical condition after being hit with a 25-pound weight during a "play wrestling" match that escalated to a real fight.

According to the Stockton Police Department, the incident happened just after 8 p.m. Thursday along the 3000 block of N. El Dorado Street. Police say that a 41-year-old man was wrestling with two other men at the scene.

For some reason, police say the match got out of hand, leading to the other two men hitting the 41-year-old with a 25-pound weight multiple times.

The two suspects left the scene in a tan, 2003 Cadillac with the California license plate number 5CUP997.

The 41-year-old man was taken to the hospital. Police say that he is currently listed in critical, but stable, condition.
