Sgt. John Romo checked some abandoned buildings and located 29-year-old Raymond White inside one of the buildings. He was arrested without incident.
The preliminary findings show that White was in a group session and left that session to go the victim's office, where he stabbed her.
White is on parole for grand theft. He will be charged with either assault with a deadly weapon or attempted murder pending the results of the investigation. It was not immediately known Tuesday if White has an attorney.
