Police: Man Runs Through Stockton Business After Being Shot, Dies

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Police are investigating a shooting that left a 26-year-old man dead early Wednesday morning.

According to the Stockton Police Department, officers were called to the 8000 block of West Lane just before 12:30 a.m. after a person was reportedly shot. Officers soon found the shooting victim at the corner of Knickerbocker Drive and Bordeaux Avenue.

Witnesses told police the man was shot in a parking lot on West Lane before he ran into a nearby business and left through the back door.

The man then collapsed at the location where officers later found him. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but was later pronounced dead, police say.

Police investigators believe the incident could be gang related.
