Police: Man Killed At West Sacramento Hotel; Woman, 26, Arrested

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are investigating a homicide at a hotel in West Sacramento Wednesday morning.

The scene is at the Great Value Inn and Suites on West Capitol Avenue, near Jefferson Boulevard.

West Sacramento Police believe that a 55-year-old Sacramento man was bludgeoned to death by a metal pipe and bricks, both found at the scene. A 26-year-old woman who was found distraught at the scene is considered the suspect.

Police say the man was staying at the hotel. It is unclear if the man and woman knew each other.

Thursday, police identified the woman as Sacramento resident Kelly Dema Carew.

Carew has been booked at Yolo County Jail and her bail has not been set.
