Police: Antique Grenade Discovered By Landscapers In Natomas
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police say an antique grenade was discovered by landscapers in Natomas Friday morning.
The device was found along the 3200 block of Truxel Road.
Sacramento Police say the device was first brought to their attention around 7 a.m. Landscapers at a private property near the shopping center on San Juan Road discovered the suspicious device and called police.
Explosive ordinance disposal officers soon showed up and confirmed that the device was a live explosive. Police later identified the device as an antique grenade.
Police say the grenade has been safely taken from the scene and has been destroyed.
No suspects have been identified.
