Police Investigation Prompts Lockdown At Roseville's Oakmont High

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - Students are being released after a lockdown that lasted for hours at Oakmont High School.

On Tuesday morning, police received reports of a student on campus with a weapon. They have the student in custody and are in the process of questioning, according to a statement from the school.

No one was injured in the incident, police say.

The school remained on lockdown as officers did a thorough search of the campus. The school lifted the lockdown around 1:30 p.m. and are now dismissing students.

Officers found and secured a firearm during the search, police say.

Officials say they will release more information to parents when it becomes available.
