Police Identify Man Shot And Killed Outside Natomas Home Depot

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police have identified the man who was shot and killed Monday night outside of the Home Depot in Natomas.

The shooting happened just after 8:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Truxel Road. Police say when they arrived at the store, they found 53-year-old Walter Michael Gibson of Rio Oso lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to a statement from the Sacramento Police Department.

Sacramento Fire Department paramedics also came to the scene and tried to keep the man alive, but were unsuccessful.

Investigators do not  think the shooting was random. They hope surveillance video from nearby businesses can help them identify the suspects.
