Police: Fairfield Woman Terrorized Neighbors With Knife, Whip

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (AP) -- Police in Northern California say a 23-year-old woman was arrested at an apartment complex, where residents claim she terrorized them with a whip and knife.

The Fairfield Police Department says Breanna Palaganas of Fairfield was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, brandishing a weapon and resisting arrest.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports officers arrived at the apartment building Friday night after receiving multiple reports of a woman running around the residence and threatening neighbors with a whip and knife.

Police say Palaganas barricaded herself inside a second-story apartment and threw "household articles" at the officers on the scene before being arrested.

They say no one was injured in the course of the arrest.
