Police: Driver Tried To Lure Fairfield Girl, 16, Into Car

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - Authorities are asking residents to be extra vigilant after a man reportedly tried to lure a teen into his car.

Fairfield police say a 16-year-old girl was walking on Dover Avenue, north of E. Tabor Avenue, Tuesday morning when a dark gray sedan pulled next to her.

A man inside the car then tried to get the girl to get into his car. She told him to leave her alone and he drove away. But, he reportedly returned two more times and tried to get her to get in.

The car was last seen heading north on Dover Avenue. It's only described as an early 2000s model sedan. The driver is described as a 25-year-old man with a big nose and possible tattoos on his arm.
