Police, Deputies Searching for Possible Robber in South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Sacramento Police and Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a possible robbery suspect in South Sacramento.

Police have set up a perimeter near 65th Street Expressway and 53rd avenue in an effort to capture the suspect after they say he and two others fled from them in a car early Monday morning.

Investigators say it all started after they got a call of an attempted robbery in the area. Police tell CBS13 they tried to stop a white Camaro in relation to the incident when it took off and led them on a brief pursuit before crashing into a fire hydrant. Officers were able to detain two suspects at that crash scene but are still looking for a third.

Police and deputies are using K9's to help with the search. Investigators have not yet released a description of the third possible suspect.
