Police Arrest Fairfield High Teacher Accused Of Having Inappropriate Relationship With Student

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - Police have arrested a Fairfield teacher who is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Eric Hankins, 27, is a science teacher at Fairfield High School and is accused of having the illicit relationship with a 14-year-old student while at school. Police and the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District first learned about the alleged relationship earlier in December. As a result, Hankins was subsequently placed on administrative leave as the investigation was carried out.

On Friday, police served a search warrant on Hankins' home and arrested him on charges of charges of lewd and lascivious behavior with a child 14 or younger. He was booked into the Solano County Jail.
