Police: Aggressive Man Approached Modesto Boy Getting Off Bus

MODESTO (CBS13) – Some schools in Modesto are warning parents to remind their children to stay on alert when walking to and from school after a recent incident.

Tuesday afternoon, a man using foul language approached a boy as the child got off the bus. His grandfather intervened and the man eventually walked away.

There were reports of a second incident at Stockard Coffee Elementary, but the Sylan Union School District says that claim was unsubstantiated. Police are investigating it, but say the incidents don't appear to be connected.

Modesto police say they are increasing patrols near schools and parks and are still looking for witnesses.
