Police: 2 Teens Arrested, Allegedly Planned To Attack SoCal High School

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say two 15-year-old students have been arrested for allegedly planning a future attack at a Southern California high school.

Riverside police and school officials say they began investigating a tip on Monday about a possible weapon at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Riverside and uncovered the plot.

Police say they found evidence at the homes of two 15-year-old boys that corroborated the attack plan.

The boys were arrested on suspicion of possession of knives and ammunition on campus. They are also being held for investigation of conspiracy to commit murder.

The Press-Enterprise reports Wednesday that the teens did not bring firearms to school and planned the attack for 2020.

Police say students were not in danger during the investigation but sent additional officers to the campus.
