Firefighters: Compost Fire At Placer Landfill May Cause Smoke For 2 Weeks
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Firefighters are alerting people that smoke may be seen at the landfill in Placer County for the next few weeks due to a fire.
CAL FIRE/Placer County Fire Department firefighters are at the Placer Land Fill on the scene of a fire started in a compost pile. Smoke from the pile is affecting the Fiddyment Farms, Crocker Ranch and Blue Oaks Road area. Smoke may be seen in the area for the next 2 weeks. pic.twitter.com/xfD7XdqVnp

A compost pile is on fire at the landfill, firefighters say.
Exactly what cause the fire is unclear, but firefighters say people may see smoke in the area for the next two weeks.
