Placer County Board Of Supervisors Honors Fallen Det. Michael Davis

PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — The Placer County Board of Supervisors honored a fallen deputy who was shot to death during a deadly rampage in October.

Det. Michael Davis was honored with a commemorative coin, one that is issues to those who have achieved acts of heroism, exceptional acts or go beyond the call of duty.

Davis was one of two deputies shot and killed by a gunman on a two-county crime spree in October.

The board also honored deputy Jeff Davis who was shot in the arm during the same spree. He is recovering and will return to duty soon.
