Woman Hit, Killed By Car On Pioneer Bridge
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A woman walking on the freeway near the eastbound Highway 50 and Interstate 5 was hit and killed Friday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened a little after 5 a.m. A woman was walking on the transition lane from Highway 50 to I-5 when she apparently walked right into the path of an oncoming car.

The woman was hit and suffered fatal injuries.
CHP says the woman did not have identification on her.
The crash caused traffic to back up through the morning commute hours on Friday. The Highway 50 to Interstate 5 connector remained open.
Investigators are now looking for any other possible witnesses of the crash.
