Pickup Truck Smashes Into Galt Home

GALT (CBS13) – One person was hurt after a pickup truck slammed into a Galt home Tuesday morning.

The scene is along Meladee Lane. First responders got to the scene just before 8 a.m. and found a truck right through the center of the house covered in debris.

Authorities say the driver was coming down Meladee Lane and somehow went off the road and drove right into the house. Crews arrived at the scene and found just the driver in the car.

The driver has been transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Crews have remained on scene working to stabilize the house.

It is not known yet if alcohol or anything else were factors in the crash.
