Person Rescued From Embankment At Modesto's East La Loma Park

MODESTO (CBS13) – Fire crews were able to rescue a person who got stuck on a steep embankment at Modesto's East La Loma Park Sunday.

Modesto Fire officials say crews were called out to the scene and found that the person was stuck on the north side of Dry Creek near Scenic Avenue. The person was not injured but couldn't get off the embankment, firefighters say.

A low-angle rope system was then set up so that a firefighter could be lowered down to the person.

The firefighter and the stuck person were then brought up using the rope system.

The whole operation took a little more than 30 minutes, Modesto Fire says. About eight firefighters helped in the operation.
