Person Hit, Killed By Train In Truckee

TRUCKEE (CBS13) – A pedestrian has been hit and killed by a train in Truckee Wednesday afternoon, police say.

The collision happened around 1:40 p.m., according to the Truckee Police Department.

First responders to the scene found that a person had been hit and killed by a train under the Highway 267 overpass. The train stopped after the collision and it remains at the scene.

Police say traffic has not been impacted.

The identity of the victim is not known at this time.
