People In Van Shoot Into Taxi Driving On I-80 In Bay Area

RICHMOND, Calif. (AP) -- Police are investigating the ninth freeway shooting in six months on a stretch of freeway in the San Francisco Bay Area.

KRON reports Tuesday that most recently officers are on the hunt for two gunmen involved in an eastbound Interstate 80 shooting on Sunday in Richmond.

The suspect vehicle, described as a minivan, opened fire into a taxi cab at around 8:30 p.m., the station reports.

No one was injured.

Police don't know if the shootings are random or targeted. They have happened at night and during the day since November.
