Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car On Highway 50 Near Sunrise Boulevard

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13)  A fatal accident has closed lanes on Highway 50 near Sunrise Boulevard.

The accident occurred just past 5 p.m. on Friday.

The California Highway Patrol is reporting the accident was a collision between a Hyundai vehicle and a pedestrian.

A female driver was heading home from work near Sunrise Boulevard when the pedestrian darted into the lane from the right shoulder. She called the CHP after the accident.

The victim is a white male adult.
