Pedestrian Struck By Glendale Police Officer On A Motorcycle

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a pedestrian is hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a Glendale police officer on a motorcycle.

Glendale police say pedestrian was walking in a dark roadway in the area of Glendale and 99th avenues at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday when the incident occurred.

The name of the injured pedestrian wasn't immediately released.

Police say the officer involved was treated at a hospital and released.

They say speed and impairment weren't factors in the accident, but their investigation is ongoing.
