Pair Of Suspected 'Porch Pirates' Arrested In Roseville

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – A Roseville resident has good neighbors to thank for helping stop a couple of suspected thieves.

Roseville Police say the neighbor called officers on Wednesday afternoon after she saw someone making off with a package from her Wheat Court neighbor's porch. Police say other neighbors also reported seeing the suspected thief and the getaway SUV.

With a good description of the suspect, officers soon stopped the SUV near Fiddyment Road and Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

Officers searched the car and found the packages stolen from the porch, along with other items they suspect were stolen.

Two people, 31-year-old Sacramento resident Michael Allard Parfitt and 28-year-old Citrus Heights resident Danielle Barba, were arrested. They are facing charges of petty theft and possessing stolen property.

Police advise residents worried about "porch pirates" to have packages delivered to a secure location, or to require a signature for deliveries.
