Mountain Lions Photographed In Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Calif. (CBS13) - A local woman captured photos of mountain lions walking by her property recently.

Tami Sutton of Georgetown shot photos of the four big cats on February 19 at 2:39 a.m. She set up the camera in January after a neighbor says back in December they saw a mountain lion carrying off a neighbor's small dog. Another small neighborhood dog disappeared in mid-January. Since then, she says she's seen a lot of wildlife, but her jaw dropped when she saw the mountain lions.

Sutton says she has not contacted the department of fish and wildlife or local animal control.

"We've lived here 27 years and we know we live among mountain lions. These are beautiful animals and we don't want anyone coming up here killing them. We just want people to enjoy the beautiful animals in this photo," said Sutton.
