Oroville Woman Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Lover Who Threatened To Reveal Relationship

OROVILLE (CBS13) — A woman was arrested after allegedly shooting a man who threatened to expose their intimate relationship to her boyfriend, the Butte County Sheriff's Department said on Tuesday.

Police responded to the shooting on Misty View Way just after 2 a.m. on Monday when neighbors reported a frantic woman outside covered in blood.

Noemis Bandomourra, 28, told deputies there was an intruder in her home and she shot him.

Bandomourra was arrested on Tuesday and faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after deputies say the intruder was actually a man who was intimately involved with her. Deputies say she shot him because he threatened to tell her boyfriend about their relationship.

Bail was set at $60,000.
