Deputies: Orangevale Man Shot Shotgun Into Air
ORANGEVALE (CBS13) – Authorities asked residents to shelter in place due to a man who reportedly fired a gun in a neighborhood Saturday night.
The scene was near the 6700 block of Main Avenue in Orangevale. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, a man was firing a gun at or near neighbors.
A SWAT team was called to the scene and surrounding homes were evacuated.

A little before 11:30 p.m., the suspect surrendered peacefully to authorities. He has been identified as 61-year-old Wesley Martin Bennett.
Bennett has booked at Sacramento County Jail and is facing weapons and vandalism charges.
